ColourPop's Pokémon Collection Is the Epitome of Nostalgia

From "Twilight" to "Beauty and the Beast," ColourPop is known for putting out some nostalgic collaborations that bring us right back to the '90s and early 2000s. Still, the brand's latest collection will be sure to bring together beauty enthusiasts and cartoon lovers alike because the ColourPop x Pokémon drop is almost here.

"This collaboration has been a longtime request from our customers – and we always look to our community and listen to what they're hoping to see," Nichole Reed, manager of product development at ColourPop, tells PS. "As a superfan of Pokémon myself, I wanted to include as many elements as possible from the original story. We put ourselves in the shoes of other fans of the show and tried to envision what they would want to see from this partnership."

Launching on May 9, the collection will first be live on ColourPop.com at 10 AM PST and then in stores and online at Ulta Beauty starting May 12. The full launch will include everything from eyeshadow palettes to cream blush, with items being sold both individually and in curated bundles. It will also include a newly-developed formula from the brand. "The pH Lip Balms are a new technology for us and we tried to emulate a nostalgic, holographic feel," Reed says. "There's so much storytelling and many hidden elements to find within every product in the collection."

If you're as excited as we are for the upcoming Pokémon x ColourPop line, we have an exclusive sneak peek at the full lineup of products that will be available for you to shop starting Thursday. Keep reading to get a head start on curating your shopping list.
